Choosing a crypto casino for live roulette: how I used a ranking as a filter
Roulette is the only casino game I play regularly. I like the live tables, the dealer, the sound of the ball, and the fact that I can play a few spins with a coffee and walk away. When I moved my play to crypto, I needed a site with good live roulette, and I quickly realised that most casino lists do not care much about that.
So I used a ranking in a slightly different way. I did not pick the top name and sign up. I treated the list as a first filter and then did my own checking for the one game I care about.
I started with a ranked list of crypto casinos and wrote down the top dozen or so. My reasoning was simple. A site that ranks well has probably passed the basic tests on payouts and support, so I would not waste time on roulette tables at a casino that holds withdrawals for a week.
Then I visited each one and looked only at the live section. I wanted to know four things.
How many roulette tables are there, and from which studios? One table from a single provider is not enough for me. I like having a choice of European roulette, a French table with the la partage rule, and a lightning-style table for the odd evening when I want something louder.
What are the minimum and maximum bets? Some sites set the minimum high on live tables, which makes small sessions expensive.
Do live bets count towards bonus wagering? Usually they count very little or not at all. I prefer to know before I accept anything.
Are the tables open when I play? I mostly play late evening Moscow time, and a couple of studios run fewer tables then.
Out of my dozen, five had a live section I was happy with. I opened accounts at two of them, played small sessions for a month and kept a record of each night. One site had occasional stream freezes during busy hours. The other has been steady, and that is where I play now.
A ranking gave me a short list of trustworthy places. The roulette part I had to test myself, and that combination worked better than either would have alone.
